Dear Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek, You speak of “justice.” We, too, demand justice. But then explain this to us: why do you still not hear our voices? Turkmen activists Alisher Sakh(at)ov and Abdulla Orusov were abducted in Türkiye while under state protection. This is not a mere allegation — it is a grave crime that occurred in plain sight. There have been previous cases of Turkmen activists being abducted or forcibly deported. But this time, it happened on the territory of Türkiye and under the responsibility of the state. In this context, the names of the Sinop and Edirne Removal Centers have been repeatedly mentioned. Why has no effective investigation been launched so far? Why have those responsible not been identified? Why is everything being met with silence? We write, we speak out, we raise our voices. The Turkish public supports us and shares our messages. We want our voices to reach President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Yet there is still no result. Who was involved in this process in the Sinop and Edirne Removal Centers? Who allowed these individuals to be taken out of Türkiye? How is it possible that people under protection were handed over to another regime? Without answers to these questions, there can be no justice. The wife of Alisher Sakh(at)ov and their four children remain in Türkiye in a devastating condition. They are living in fear. They are psychologically shattered. Moreover, they report being threatened. Why is no one supporting this family? Why has no official visited them? Why has no psychological assistance been provided? These people have been left alone. The children are suffering, the wife is in despair. In such a situation, the duty of the state is not only to investigate, but also to protect and support the victims. Why has no psychologist been assigned? Why have social support mechanisms not been activated? Why does this family remain abandoned? What kind of silence is this? What kind of neglect is this? Our demands are clear: — Immediately launch an effective and transparent investigation. — Identify and hold accountable those responsible. — Ensure the immediate return of Alisher Sakh(at)ov and Abdulla Orusov. — Provide urgent psychological and social support to their families and guarantee their safety. Since this abduction took place in Türkiye, the responsibility lies with Türkiye. And this responsibility must be fulfilled. Justice delayed is justice denied. Do not remain silent any longer.
