Appeal of the Citizens of Turkmenistan The Human Rights Platform of the Civic Movement DAYANÇ / Turkmenistan has received a collective appeal from citizens of Turkmenistan requesting its public release. The authors connect their appeal with the second organized meeting between citizens and representatives of the Ministry of Justice (Adalat), scheduled for January 24, 2026. The first meeting, held on January 10, 2026, according to the citizens, did not meet expectations and left many participants dissatisfied. Below we publish the appeal in its original form, without any edits. Appeal Citizens of Turkmenistan are deeply dissatisfied and have completely lost trust in the Supreme Court of Turkmenistan. This court does not fulfill its direct responsibilities and does not protect the rights of the people. First. The Supreme Court does not provide real assistance to citizens. People’s appeals are ignored. Cases are not examined on their merits. Fair decisions are absent. Second. The activities of the Supreme Court do not improve, but worsen the situation of people, depriving citizens of their last hope for law and justice. Third. The Supreme Court has lost public trust and brings no real benefit to society. Fourth. Among the population, there is a widespread belief that decisions in the Supreme Court are made for money, through acquaintances, and personal connections. Fifth. Appeal to the President of Turkmenistan. We demand immediate intervention and radical measures regarding the Supreme Court, which does not fulfill its functions and does not serve the people. Sixth. To vacate the buildings of the Supreme Court and transfer them for the needs of citizens who have been left without housing. Seventh. Ignoring these demands will lead to mass protests and social unrest. Strict and decisive measures are necessary. Demands of the Citizens of Turkmenistan First. To immediately investigate the employees of the Supreme Court and initiate criminal cases against those responsible. Second. To review all court cases over the past three years. Third. To apply strict public punishment for covering up illegal actions and corruption. Fourth. To identify and punish all those involved in corruption. Fifth. To conduct a strict reassessment of all judges and immediately replace those who do not meet the standards of justice and professionalism. Respectfully, On behalf of the citizens of Turkmenistan.
