📢 ANNOUNCEMENT: PETITION SIGNATURE CAMPAIGN Dear Citizens of Turkmenistan, The Human Rights Platform of the Civil Movement “Dayanch” / Turkmenistan is launching a signature campaign for a petition to protect stray animals and oppose the destruction of animal shelters in Turkmenistan. We call for an end to the cruel killing of stray animals and the demolition of shelters without providing safe alternatives. Instead, the state should establish a humane system of municipal shelters, sterilisation and vaccination programmes, veterinary care, and responsible management of stray animal populations. Cruelty to animals is one of the issues that citizens have asked us to raise at the international OSCE platform in Poland in October 2026.
